Decatur Memorial Hospital Offers Breast Cancer Seminar, Health Screenings, and Seasonal Flu Shots at Hickory Point Mall

October 20…Join Decatur Memorial Hospital in recognizing October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On Thursday, October 22, from 5 to 7 p.m., DMH Spirit of Women will offer a variety of health screenings for women at Hickory Point Mall near the Center Stage area. FREE screenings include facial sun damage; blood pressure; cardiac risk assessment; pulmonary artery disease; body fat analysis; hand strength analysis; body mass index; bone density assessment; and breast cancer risk assessment. Mammograms will be offered. DMH will bill insurance for mammograms. Seasonal flu shots will be available for $25.

Maria Perdekamp, MD, DMH Cancer Care Institute Medical Oncologist, will present “Learn About Breast Cancer,” at 6 p.m. on Center Stage.
