Senior Life Enrichment Center Hosts Open House and Flu Shot Clinic
Decatur, Ill…Decatur Memorial Hospital Senior Life Enrichment Center will host an open house for the community on Sunday, Nov. 9, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 102 West Kenwood Ave. Flu shots will be given for free to those with a Medicare card.
The DMH Senior Life Enrichment Center is exclusively for seniors who want to maintain their health and independence. The only one of its kind in Decatur, the center offers complete medical services for adult patients, specializing in the prevention and treatment of conditions of older adults.
Nurse Practitioner Marilee Dalton Peters sees patients at the center under the supervision of Anthony McCormack, MD, geriatric specialist and Medical Director of the Center. An added feature of the Center is that patients are given a longer appointment time with the nurse practitioner to discuss their individual health concerns.
The DMH Senior Life Enrichment Center is part of DMH’s Senior Health and Wellness Center of Excellence, which also includes DMH PrimeTime (which provides many benefits such as screenings and health seminars) and the DMH Geriatric Assessment Center (an outpatient center designed to help families of older adults identify health needs and provide planning and intervention on a consultative basis).
