Board welcomes new member
Decatur Memorial Hospital welcomes Radiologist Jon Locke, MD, to the DMH Health Systems and Decatur Memorial Hospital Boards of Directors.
"This is a very exciting time to be involved with Decatur Memorial Hospital as it goes through continuous dynamic changes in providing patient care," Dr. Locke says. "It will be a great honor to serve as a board member."
"The board valued Dr. Locke as a physician, a community member and as a leader in helping to continue to develop our hospital," says Ken Smithmier, DMH President and CEO. "He was at the top of our list."
A Decatur native, Dr. Locke has worked for Decatur Radiology Physicians since 1994. Today, he also serves as chairman of the DMH Radiology Department, a position he was named to in 2001.
In 1993, Dr. Locke completed a radiology residency at University Hospitals, Cleveland. He graduated with honors in 1989 from Case Western Reserve Medical School, Cleveland. Dr. Locke received a bachelor’s in biology in 1985 graduating with honors from Depauw University, Greencastle, Ind. He and his wife Kathy have four children.
Dr. Locke’s father—G. Richard Locke, MD—was appointed to the DMH Medical Staff in 1968 and served as chairman of the DMH Radiology Department from 1975—2000. Dr. G. Richard Locked also served as president of the DMH Medical Staff from 1985—86.
